    I stopped to take this photo of a derailed car out in the middle of nowhere. A Kansas state trooper stopped to see if I was having trouble, and told me it had derailed some years ago and just simply left where is, as is.

    The KCS 4695 along with the matching KCS 4110 and a the UP 4279, seen here on NS Train 336, pulls through Alexander City, AL. The train is slowing to take the sideing while an opposing NS 335 holds the main coming into town from the East.

    A rare SD70ACe led coal train heads west at 6:54PM on 9/28/08 definately the best catch so far this fall. A thing to note even though rare this is just proof that it is possible to catch a Heritage Unit on a coal train!

    The best train of the day is the joint UP-KCS train the line is the Marysville Sub which sees the joint UP-BNSF Jeffrey Energy Center train which cut of to go to that power plant here.

    An eastbound autorack train glides through Strong City Kan. well under the speed limit of 55mph. the train is led by BNSF 5242 a C44-9W and 2 of it's cousins all in H2 paint on the BNSF Rwy Strong City Subdivision.
