    As the power pushed the train clear of the island circut, the gates went up and traffic started to flow. The train would have to wait in the west end of the Emmet Siding for a eastbound to pass before heading west again.

    CN Train 380 approaches Allen Rd in Kimball Twp, MI. It is only a few miles from Tappen, the west end of Tunnel Yard in Port Huron, MI. It obviously was the first train to bust the drifts on the Mt. Clemens Sub after the snowstorm over night which dumped 12 inches in the area.

    Two CN locos wait for permission to enter Tunnel Yard west of Port Huron after a heavy snowstom dumped 12 inches of snow. Six different trains were in the yard waiting to go through the tunnel to Sarnia, Ontario Canada. Snow was 2 to 3 feet deep in the ditches and drifts.
