  1. The American Lumberjack

    The American Lumberjack

CN 346 passes with his usual mixture of Sulphur tanks and Lumber products. I love the 346! CN 2406 trails, who would come back to haunt me on Halloween! The 346 doesn't have DPUs so very much anymore...
  2. CN 346 at Riverview

    CN 346 at Riverview

CN 346 crawls off of the bridge and past the station signs at Riverview. The train took atleast 10 minutes to get here from the yards across the river. Perhaps CN is using DPU power as an excuse to underpower their trains? He didn't seem to have any trouble getting up to speed later.
  3. Painted skies

    Painted skies

CN 346 goes to Chicago with among others, Savage Alberta Railway 8606.
  4. What happend?

    What happend?

I'm posting this in response to my own photo, showcasing two brand new SD70M-2's shining away. This is the other side of new motive power acquisition. CN 9551, a GP40-2LW is seen on a E/B manifest, travelling CN's mainline, from the same angle, at two different times in its life. I think...
  5. CN DPU!

    CN DPU!

CN 346 and a number of other 300 series manifests have been running with DPU lately, just like CP with their potash trains. I'm not 100% sure this is 346 though, since that train showed up later, so perhaps this is 304? Either way a very impressive consist. Not sure if this is better then a...
  6. NREX 2009

    NREX 2009

My first Green Goat - NREX 2009, 3GS21B, trailing CN 2549-5534 on 346. It's twin brother, NREX 2011 is the only Green Goat to have demonstrated on CN so far (Dec 06 CRO). Perhaps this unit is joining them? Either way, better then a GT GP38 I though I was seing again.
  7. Wipe out

    Wipe out

I knew a train was coming thanks to radio chatter, but all I could see were the three lights (headlight+2 ditchlights) until it got close enough. Then he kicked up snow on the bridge and visibility went back to zero... Don't let the looks fool you, with falling snow it was pretty warm...
  8. It's Alive!

    It's Alive!

CN 346 is about to cover me from head to toe. Although hard to see due to 'weather conditions' this is the river bridge: http://tinyurl.com/2mkrdd Sadly, I was not able to get the 2nd units number, although I think its CN 2584, Dash 9-44CW. CN 8011 SD70M-2 sure makes for a good plow with that...
