Filmed in late September 2018 in the Los Pinos Valley on a section of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad that doesn't get a lot of coverage. The problem is access. There is only one dirt road anywhere near. The booth now just a wee bit dilapidated and unused was moved to this site around 1923.

Locomotives K36 2-8-2 #487 and K27 2-8-2 #463 the Mudhen, head up a nine car train From Chama NM to Antonito Co. The locomotives were built for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad by the Baldwin Locomotive Works.

Early on the morning of the 23rd of September 2015 a steam powered freight train hauled by two K36 locomotives #484 and #489 departed Antonito Co. I hope you enjoy.
