Question about engines used to help push a train

If engines are used to help push a train, is there some risk that cars may be pushed off the rails? ETA: I got a good answer from another informed source: "The risk is extremely low. The Engineer has a DPU Panel they use to set the Pushing/Pulling force on the train."

Is there a special viewing spot for the Tucson UP train yard?

Anyone from Tucson know if the Union Pacific train yard in Tucson (just south of 22nd Street) can be viewed? Is there a special location? I read somewhere it was on the east side of the yard but google maps does not show much.
