It's actually kind of spooky. But interesting.

Shut the door! The cold air and snow is coming inside. Nice, wintry shot.

This photo was taken on the 21st of July? There seems to be a lot of snow on the ground for the middle of summer. Is this location at a very high altitude? maybe way up high in the Alps. And all the steam would indicate a rather low air temperature.

A blue "swish". Interesting. Also an interesting passenger train.

    Unusual looking passenger train.

What model locomotive is this. It must be an EMD GP-something.

I had no idea that the BN had been created by 1954. When was it formed?

Comment by 'Curious' in media 'AMT ALP45-DP 1361'

Pardon my ignorance, but what is AMT? Is that short for Amtrak? Also, shouldn't there be a few more horns on that thing? 10 horns isn't enough. Anyway, very nice picture.

Comment by 'Curious' in media 'Sand Patch'

    Very nice. Very "atmospheric".

Comment by 'Curious' in media 'ATSF 2709'

No smoke coming out of those steel mill stacks (and that was 17 years ago). Sad.

Nice pic. What model is it?

Very interesting picture. They apparently weren't as concerned about safety back in the '40's as later. No railing along the side of the walkway on the side of the engine. It looks like maybe there's a rail to grab onto at the bottom of the black area on the side of the engine.

Very interesting shot. The color in this one looks better to me.
