Hobo Full Length Feature Film Hopping Cargo Trains.

I've watched almost all of his videos. Good stuff! Ironically he was killed about a year ago by an Amtrak outside of Baltimore. RIP Stobe!

CN and Wall Lake IA June 27, 2015

The Bayard branch of the BNSF used to be the Milwaukee Road Omaha mainline. I believe it is all gone east of Perry.

    Wyoming Coal Train Hotspots

You are welcome! I am jealous . I haven't been through the area in about 10 years . My oldest brother still lives in Sheridan. I need to take the family on a trip there soon. Preferably summer.

    Wyoming Coal Train Hotspots

I should also add after living there you should be able to find lodging etc. in Sheridan, Gillette, and Douglas , Wyoming which is at the southern end of the joint line. I have not been to the area in about 10 years but I was never hassled and there are billions of good photo spots without...

    Wyoming Coal Train Hotspots

If you are coming from Montana make sure you stop in Sheridan,Wyoming. Take the 5th street exit from I-90 east towards Wyarno. On the way you will see the BNSF and the cutoff to the Decker Coal mines in Montana is at Dutch. You can't possibly miss it. You can also take Lower Prairie Dog rd...

Riding Private Car from LA to Oakland - Railfan Trip

Thanks for the videos! I saw those cars parked at the Amtrak yard in LA last week from the 10 freeway. I wondered where they were headed.

Why is BNSF not repainting their old diesel locomotives to the new paint scheme?

I wish the Big New Santa Fe would do what UP and NS have done and have a true heritage fleet. I have grown sick of the pumpkin puke locos. They are just plain ugly.

    Industries along the tracks: Breweries

The Budweiser brewery in Van Nuys has rail service. Same with Fort Collins. Coors has its own switcher.

    North Platte Area 9/20/14

I have seen some interesting locos from other roads via the Golden Spike Tower camera. The UP heritage fleet was there for a couple of weeks just outside the diesel shop. There is also a SD 90 deadline I notice. I can watch that cam for hours!

2014 Iowa State Railroad Club 24 Hours

Ames is a great place to railfan! I grew up in North Iowa and remember the first time seeing a Falcon piggyback flying through the ISU campus. I was blown away at the speed after growing up in a town with a 10 mph Rock Island branch line. That was back in the late 70's early 80's.
