My favorite location is Yardley which is BNSF's yard in Spokane, WA. It is on the BNSF funnel so can see in excess of 50 trains in a 24 hour period! Also if there aren't any trains at the moment there is usaually an engine switching cars so there is always action!! This picture I took on October 13, 2002. From the right to left: BNSF 2704 leads 10 engines on the Kettle Falls Local as it waits to depart, BNSF 6144 just sits around for a while, BNSF 2257 is switching several cars.
