Looking into the crankcase inspection ports, the "bottom end" of the prime mover is visible. At the extreme left, one of the crankshaft main bearing caps can be seen. The bottom end of two connecting rods and their caps are visible in all the ports. For you car enthusiasts, with a bore and stroke of 9 x 10 1/2, the 244 has 668 cubic inches PER CYLINDER.
