The Providence & Worcester acquired the 2798 from ConRail in 1991 and operated it as their 2203 until June, 2002. The P&W swapped the trucks on a number of the 4 axle GE's they acquired, including the 2203, which had it's origional AAR type "B" trucks replaced with the FB-2 floating bolster type. In this photo, the 2203 is trailing at the rear of P&W's New Haven-Old Saybrook turn, NH-1, as the train makes it's westbound return run to New Haven on Amtrak's "Shoreline" at Madison, CT. on Oct. 13, 2000.
