Still Holding On

Still Holding On

A visit far from its home lines, SBD 2667 has been calling Port Huron, MI home off and on this year. Here parked in an almost empty Port Huron Yard, once Pere Marquette's Boat Yard, the days are coming to an end this month. Operations in Downtown Port Huron will end and so will a bit more railroading history here. The new yard is being finished up several miles south and a new office will be built, leaving the old PM Depot left to what ever the developers decide to do with it. Soon the rail yard will be like the paint of Chessie on the caboose, just a faded indicator of what it once was.
