RARE UP FEIGHT GOING INTO SAN FRANCISCO

Affectionately known as the "South City Switchers," this "arial" view shows four locomotives pulling a small freight consist, for pick-ups, into San Francisco. The empty land in front of the tracks used to be lined with the classification tracks for the SP Bayshore Yard, which closed in 1985.
