Facing a major power shortage, CP has decided to lease ~50 NREX SD40/SD45/SD50 derivatives from NREX, about half of which are ex-CP/SOO SD40-2's.

So far only two have come through town, NREX 5081 and his twin, 5078. "Real" UP engines are regulars as well, sadly they are limited to SD90MAC's and AC4400CW's.

I know that this isn't the greatest photo, but currently this is the best NREX roster I have. Had it been any other "regular" engine, like CP 3086, GP38-2, the wayfreight power behind him, I wouldn't bother posting.

I would like to thank NREX for the lame patch job. If I didn't have mid-terms right now, I'd take the time to "erase" that NREX decal under the cab and the line going through "Union Pacific", posting this as a real UP engine instead!
