The car was built for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, went to the Great Northern Railway and ran as "Lake Michigan." With the merger the car changed to Burlington Northern Railroad No. 12.. Following BN, the car went to Chicago & North Western Railway as the "Cedar River." In 2012, the car was used by a restaurant in Elizabeth City, North Carolina and painted as Norfolk and Southern Railway / AARX No. 400210.
