Originally build for Atlantic Coast Line, the old Seaboard unit was sold to Petromont in 1985. From 1993 to 1998 he was leased out before finally ending up in Railserves oddball lessor fleet (MLW ex-CP RS-23, Albert Sugar GE 25T, RLK nee P&LE GP7, IC GP8 and L&W nee GTW GP9). Interestingly the locomotive has kept the same number, #176 since 1967 despite five ownership changes!

The engine was last used by Union Carbide (former Petromont) out of Blackfalds, AB. Now stored in Warden alongside other Alberta treasures (some in nearby Stettler):
