Cowichan Sub near Mile 62

The muddy remains of a once-active rail line deep in the heart of the Cowichan Valley.

The tracks were in such poor condition in the last few years that if the train took a corner too fast(over 10 MPH) they'd actually pull the tracks over a few inches in the muddy ballast. The cars rocked so much that if they were loaded over half full, they would have tipped over.
