Living Dinosaur
LB Railco, a waste hauler based out of the Port of San Francisco, owns two Alco S-2 switchers for shuttling cars around their facility. #25 is seen working today to make up a train for the outbound South City Switcher, the daily UP job that serves industries in San Francisco. The power for the UP job can be seen in the distance. LB Railco's Alcos are San Francisco originals, having been built for the San Francisco Belt Railroad in the 1940's.
Hey there is two of them Living dinosaurs in this shot .That old Grande unit in the back.

cool shot, surpised they are not required to have ditch lights...and those tracks...looks like they havn't been used in a while!

They don't need ditch lights because they only spend their time puttering around their own facility. The tracks are actually used on a daily basis.

I see, well very cool old unit thats for sure...
