Several members of 830 class were rebuilt by a former government operator in the mid 1990's to Driver Only Operation (DOO) and 904 was originally class leader of the 830 class, 830 (later renumbered 875 and then DA 5 after rebuild).

But do they run any better after the rebuild. Sure liked the high nose better myself. I'm glad to see it still running regardless of the driver only modification.
