Cascade and Columbia's GP9

Built in 1955, this high hood GP9 has seen its share of rails. Originally DT&I 982, renumbered GTW 6052, to Rail Switching Services , to Fox River Valley, to Georgia Central, sold to RaiLink, numbered 1701 and served the Lakeland-Waterways. RailLink was bought by RailAmerica and the unit was transferred to the Cascade & Columbia RR in Washington State. Photo by Keith Ardinger and used w/permission

Thats quite a history for such a hardworking unit. Goes to show which of the locomotive builders had their act together.

Ain't that the truth. I'm also looking for photos of this GP9 while it served the Fox River RR and Georgia Central.

Nice shot. I've only caught Railink 1757 and though it was neat - it has the same paintsheme.
