Alcohol Travel Ends

I ran across this Beer Distributor in Beaumont Texas. The track has been cut as you can see. I figure cutting the track the way it is shown enforces no service to the facility. I conclude that business may have been redirected to trucking.
Around 2005 or 2006, Miller stopped all boxcar shipments to smaller distribution centers such as McAllen and Russelltown (between Rancho Viejo and San Benito). I think it was an across-the-board decision to forego direct rail transportation altogether.
 
I have the photos of the crews ripping up the track in 2010? I'll have to check. I also have photos of the last few deliveries to the beer plant.
